Join the global cryosphere community at the 30th Anniversary CliC Open Science Conference! As Earth’s ice, snow, and permafrost continue to decline, the impacts on sea levels, water availability, and global climate feedbacks are becoming more severe. This conference will address key knowledge gaps and advance research on sea ice concentration, glacier mass loss, permafrost thaw, and other critical cryospheric changes.

The event will feature a town hall meeting to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and prepare for the 5th International Polar Year (2032-2033). Key themes include climate-cryosphere interactions, advances in cryospheric science, and human adaptation and mitigation strategies. Scientists, early career researchers, and stakeholders are invited to submit abstracts and session proposals.

Abstract submission is now open and closes on 31 July 2025.
