8th WMO International Workshop on Monsoons (IWM)

The IWM-8 aims to explore recent advances in monsoon prediction, modeling, and understanding, including new tools for forecasting extreme rainfall and their societal benefits. Discussions will cover prediction across various time scales, from daily weather to decadal trends, as well as monsoon projections, extreme weather in a changing climate, and climate intervention strategies for monsoon regions. The event welcomes participants from research, operational, climate services, and end-user communities.
